Business Development Manager - Canada

We are looking for a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Manager to lead our new account acquisition efforts. This position will be responsible for identifying, pursuing and securing new customers, with a strong focus on building lasting relationships and growing revenue through business development. While relationship management with some existing customers may be required, the main focus will be on generating new business opportunities in the commercial and industrial market with a focus on military, defense, security, and public safety.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE AS FOLLOWS:


Acquiring new accounts (75%)


• Develop and implement a comprehensive new customer acquisition strategy, including prospecting, lead generation, and sales pipeline management.
• Develop new distributors, end-users, or direct OEM’s engaged in the purchase, sale and/or promotion of NANUK Brands and Solutions.
• Identify, qualify and pursue new business opportunities in the target markets.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential customers and emerging trends.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within potential client organizations.
• Prepare and present compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients.
• Negotiate and conclude agreements, ensuring that they are mutually beneficial.
• Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to new account acquisition.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.

Manage relationships with existing customers (25%)


• Maintain and nurture relationships with existing customers, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
• Proactively identify and respond to customer needs and concerns.
• Participate in the development of solutions and strategies to meet client needs.
• Perform all other related tasks.


YOUR PROFILE:


• Bilingualism is essential, both oral and written, in French (intermediate) and English (advanced) to communicate well with our internal and external clients;
• Bachelor's degree or any other relevant certifications;
• Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in business development, sales or similar environment;
• Experience with government and commisions tenders and procurement processes;
• Proven track record of creating new accounts and sustainable revenue growth;
• Strong understanding of the military and public safety industry and its key players;
• Valid Canadian driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
• Well-organized, self-disciplined, and demonstrating a strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills;
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Experience using CRM software (Hubspot).
• Availability for special events and travel.
